Scholarship recipients are expected to include Holocaust
studies in their classroom curriculum for a minimum of three (3) years.
The BHEC will pre-pay registration fees. All other
expenses will be reimbursed upon the presentation of proper receipt
documentation. Recipients are expected to submit all financial receipts
with
Expense Documentation
Form
within two (2) weeks of return in order to receive scholarship monies.
Recipients are expected to provide the BHEC with a
written summary of their experience with their submission of receipts.
Recipients are expected to attend a reception sponsored
by the BHEC in their honor. This will be scheduled during the summer
following all conferences. This reception will provide an opportunity
for recipients to meet the BHEC as well as network with other teachers
committed to Holocaust Education.
Upon completion of workshop studies, recipients are
encouraged to participate in the BHEC Teacher Cadre in addition to other
BHEC Programs.
As a follow-up, scholarship recipients will complete an
evaluation assessing the impact of training on classroom instruction.
